Where the game deviates from the norm, and succeeds beyond expectations, is in its rendering of three distinct viewpoints and its effective re-creation of the film series' unrelieved sense of dread.

After an extremely information-free teaser, "Fallout: New Vegas" finally started to take shape with its first full trailer, which you can enjoy at the top of this post. I was a big fan of "Fallout 3" (my Game of the Year in 2008) and happily gorged on the copious amounts of DLC that Bethesda spoon-fed the world, and it looks like the next game will stay true to the franchise.

Dark Void has only been out for just over two weeks, and already Capcom is bringing out downloadable content to keep rocket pack enthusiasts playing the game. A press release on the Capcom Unity blog reveals that a new game type will be coming next week to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Called "Survival Mode," it will pit players against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. It keeps score for the waves and lets players boost their scores by hitting multipliers for actions like headshots and ship hijacks. The mode consists of 10 rounds in all, but we have no word of online leaderboards for the score rankings. A comment from a Capcom employee also confirms it will include new Achievements and Trophies. The pack will cost 400 Microsoft Points next Wednesday, and $4.99 for the PlayStation Network when it comes out on Thursday.
